For This Child is currently accepting consignment.
I am requesting that first time consignors make an appoitment.
If you are already a consignor and plan to bring in
more than two file-sized boxes of books, we are also requesting
that you also make an appointment. I do understand if you can only
bring your books on a certain day. We just like a heads up if there
is going to be many boxes coming in during the day.
What will help?
*Read the "Accepted Items" and "What Not to Bring".
*Many people make a list of items, so that we can verify what items
came in on that day.
*If you desire a certain price, please let us know at drop off time.
*Please have your books contained in a sturdy box or strong bag
that you are willing to leave with us.
Accepted Items
*Student and Teacher Editions in good, reusable condition
*Supplemental Educational Materials
*"How to" homeschool books
*Books and novels that can be used in various ways in homeschooling
*Anything that can reasonably be used in educating children
Items That May Be Greatly Reduced in Price
*Books that show a little more than average wear
The following types will be accepted only if we have room,
with the understanding that they will be donated
if we need to make more room for newer books...
*Older Editions of Popular Curriculums.
*Workbooks and Tests that are missing pages or have a small
percentage that is used
*Misc. Supplemental Workbooks
Please note that we donate first to our free box, and then, if that
becomes too full, we take the free books downtown to a free
bookstore. Please know that we do everything possible to find a
good home for the books that you donate. Many families have been
thrilled to find just what they need in the free box!
What Not to Bring
*Switched on Schoolhouse Programs (not allowed to be resold)
*computer cames, cassette tapes, and VHS
are no longer being accepted, but are welcome to be donated in
the free box.
*Copies of DVDs
*Photocopies of any book. workbook, test, etc.
*Video Manuels for "leased/rented video classes" or "satallite classes".
*Items that show great wear, excessive writing or highlighting
*Workbooks with more than a few pages completed or missing.
*Any book that is meant mainly for readers above high school level
such as adult novels, adult christian living, marriage, general
parenting, diet books, and cookbooks (however there may be some
that can be reasonably used in homeschooling--use your best
judgement "Did this help me in homeschooling my child?")
